Who you are booking with
Azuriva VTC is a small, independent business: Sébastien Hogrel, a licensed French private driver (VTC) based in the Var, who drives every booking himself. There is no call centre and no platform in between. He is French; messages in English by WhatsApp or email are welcome and he answers personally. The website and the online calculator are available in English, and WhatsApp is often the easiest way to book from abroad.
Step by step
- Send your request on WhatsApp or by email to seb@azuriva-vtc.fr: date, flight number, number of passengers and suitcases, destination address.
- Receive the fixed price in writing. It is based on a published scale: €10 pick-up charge, then €1.50 per km in the Alpes-Maritimes (06), €2.50 per km in the Var (83) and €1.80 per km in Fréjus and Saint-Raphaël, tolls included, with a 20 % surcharge at night (9 pm to 7 am), on Sundays and French public holidays.
- Confirm by replying to the message. Payment terms are confirmed with your booking.
- The day before, you receive the driver's mobile number and the meeting point in the arrivals hall.
- On the day, your flight is tracked and the pick-up follows the real landing time.

Fares are for the whole car, up to 4 passengers with luggage, not per person.
Tips for international travellers
- Phone number: give a number with its country code (+44, +1, +49, +39…) and check that WhatsApp works abroad on your plan.
- Time zone: always write the time in French local time, ideally with the flight number so there is no confusion.
- Addresses: villas often sit on private roads; add the gate code or a GPS pin.
- Extras: mention a child seat, golf bags, skis or a pushchair when you book.
- Non-Schengen flights: passport control can take time. Your driver waits; just send a message once you have your bags.
Why book in advance?
A French VTC can only take passengers who have booked: it is the law. Booking ahead means a car reserved for you, a price fixed before you travel and a known contact, which matters most for late arrivals, big events (Monaco Grand Prix, Cannes Film Festival) and long trips to the Var. For a comparison with the options on the spot, see taxi or private driver at Nice airport.
Booking for a group, an event or a wedding
Wedding guests, seminar participants or a family gathering in a villa: when several people arrive on different flights, send the list of arrivals in one message. Transfers are scheduled one after another, or coordinated with trusted fellow drivers when several cars are needed. You keep a single contact and a written schedule.
Changing or cancelling
Plans change. If your flight is moved or cancelled, send a message as soon as possible with the new details: the transfer is rescheduled. The cancellation conditions are given with your booking confirmation.
Planning several rides (arrival, a day trip, a dinner, the return)? Send the whole programme in one message: one contact, one confirmation.
